Here are our current plans as we prepare to resume in-person Worship on May 24th. As you look through these, if you have any questions, please let us know!

• 2 Worship services, at 9:30 A.M. and 11 A.M.. We need to split the congregation fairly evenly, so if you normally attend the second service and would be willing to attend the first, please let us know.

• No Sunday School classes or Children’s Church at this time. Sunday School will continue online at 10 A.M. Sunday.

• The Sanctuary and any spaces used will be sanitized each week until further notice. At this point we will not be opening the Fellowship Hall building.

• We will practice physical distancing during our worship services. By using every other pew row we should be able to maintain the 6 feet of separation needed.

• We will not be using hymnals since we have no way to sanitize them safely.

• For your convenience we will have hand sanitizer available at each entrance.

• At this point we are not requiring masks, though anyone who feels more comfortable wearing a mask is certainly welcome to do so.

• We would also ask that anyone who is sick, or in an at-risk category to please stay at home. If you are concerned about gathering together, know that we would love to have you, but understand that you may be more comfortable waiting until later to return to in-person worship.

• Thank you for your continued giving! Offerings may be made online, mailed in, or we will have offering boxes at the doorways.

 Continuing Sermon Series

At Plum Creek Baptist Church (SBC), we have been passionately celebrating Jesus Christ for over 200 years! Our goal is to make much of Jesus and help you do the same as a part of our church! Please take some time to navigate through our site and get to know us better. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us! We look forward to hearing from you!

Q. How do I get to Plum Creek Baptist Church?

A. PCBC is located about 15 minutes from historic Taylorsville, KY. We are located on the corner of Highway 44 (Mt. Washington Rd.) and Plum Creek Road.

Q. Where do I park?
A. We have plenty of parking available, including visitor parking and handicap accessible parking.
Q. What do I wear?
A. At Plum Creek, we want you to feel welcomed. You’ll find a wide range of dress on a Sunday morning service. Some will be in suits and dresses, others will be in jeans and a t-sirt. We only ask that what you wear is modest and isn’t purposefully offensive to others .
Q. Where do I or my family go once we get there?
A. If you are new to our Church there are Greeters to meet you at the doors and assist you in finding the sanctuary, nursery, classroom, or office that you need. They are there to serve you!
Q. What does a typical service look like?
A. Our services are simple and focused on making much of God through Christ Jesus. There is typically a time for announcements, a time for singing, times of prayer, a collection of an offering from members of the church (visitors are not expected or pressured to give), and the preaching of the Word.

brojonBro. Jon Rohr- Pastor

It has been my privilege to serve Plum Creek as pastor since 2004.  My wife Teresa is my greatest blessing and partner in ministry and we are blessed with two grown daughters and three perfect grandchildren.  (Aren’t they all?)
As a pastor, my goal is to lead people into life changing encounters with God and His Word.  I hope to be a servant-leader, leading by example in the areas of preaching, teaching, witnessing, praying, giving, caring, and equipping. I believe my role as pastor is to encourage members to develop and use their God-given gifts, talents, and skills in service of Christ’s Church.  The most important thing that I can do is develop Godly leadership for our Church and community by clearly preaching and teaching the truths of God’s Word.

Bro. Rob Shawhan – Associate Pastor of Families and Worship

Rob has just come onboard here at Plum Creek Baptist this September. He is husband to his wife Kelly and father to Nick and Leigh. He received his B.S. in Religion and Christian Counseling in 2014 from Liberty University where he also graduated with his M.A. in Preaching in 2015. He and his wife grew up and lived in Spencer and Nelson counties for most of their lives and are glad to be back serving at Plum Creek.
Rob’s desire is to use his God given gifts and skills to further the Kingdom of God by leading people in genuine and authentic worship while also raising up the next generation in the love and admonition of the Lord through relevant preaching and teaching.
