Bro. Jon Rohr- Pastor

It has been my privilege to serve Plum Creek as pastor since 2004.  My wife Teresa is my greatest blessing and partner in ministry and we are blessed with two grown daughters and two perfect grandchildren.  (Aren’t they all?)

As a pastor, my goal is to lead people into life changing encounters with God and His Word.  I hope to be a servant-leader, leading by example in the areas of preaching, teaching, witnessing, praying, giving, caring, and equipping. I believe my role as pastor is to encourage members to develop and use their God-given gifts, talents, and skills in service of Christ’s Church.  The most important thing that I can do is develop Godly leadership for our Church and community by clearly preaching and teaching the truths of God’s Word.

Bro. Jarrod Mattingly- Music Director

Jarrad Mattingly has been serving God with his special gift of music for over half of his life. “Playing professional Bluegrass Music was my passion until I began my music ministry four years ago at Chaplin Christian Church in Chaplin, Kentucky. It was during this part of my life when Jesus revealed to me my true calling in life. However, I am still known to do some picking and grinning on the side.”

Jarrad has been the worship minister at Plum Creek Baptist Church since April of 2010, and is a local from here in Spencer Co. Kentucky. He is continuing to further his education at Campbellsville University as a Worship Arts major, and his vision is to engage people in the life changing power of Jesus Christ through music and worship. “My utmost prayer is that the Holy Spirit will guide me in overseeing a worship service that is relevant to each and every person who walks into our sanctuary.”

Bro. Tony Sutton- Youth Minister

Being called to serve God as a minister is the most humbling and honorable experience a man can have.  I have been privileged to do so as the youth minister at Plum Creek Baptist Church since the fall of 2011.  I also enjoy the distinct privilege of being married to the perfect woman (Jenn), with whom I have two lovely and wonderful children (Eliah and Joel).

As a minister of the word I believe that the greatest need the church has today is sound Biblical teaching.  Too many generations have been fed spiritual junk food and been left spiritually malnourished and biblically illiterate.  So it is my goal to teach the Bible in such a way that it is interesting, engaging, and life changing.  Working with the youth at Plum Creek has already proved to be a rewarding challenge and I hope to see all of them grow to be faithful servants of Christ Jesus.  I pray that through them God would reach into the community of Spencer county and the world for His great name.
